At American Institute of Caring, we offer both full classroom learning and blended online learning with skills testing for our BLS CPR Classes. For those students who are new to CPR, we do reccommend the full in-person classroom experience. For those CPR providers who are confident in their skills and simply need recertified, the blended option is both conveinent and can be scheduled around your busy schedules. Both options will ensure you are prepared to give high-quality CPR and the use of an AED.
Groups or businesses may schedule onsite skills testing in your workplace for BLA or HeartSaver certifications. Contact Us to discuss this option. Group discounts are not given - prices are per perosn plus instructor mileage.

Classroom In-Person Courses:
American Heart Association BLS CPR is geared towards healthcare providers and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings like EMTs, Paramedics, Fire Fighters, and in-facility Hospital Providers.
What does this course teach?
High-quality CPR for adults, children, & infants
The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically BLS components
Important early use of an AED
Effective ventilations using a barrier device
Importance of teams in multi-rescuer CPR
Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
BLS CPR certification is valid for 2 Years.

Blended Online Courses:
American Heart Association HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete an in-person hands-on skills session at American Institute of Caring.
